7 May, Lalitpur: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that instilling disappointment among the people for no reason is a crime. In a special dialogue organized today on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of ‘lokaantar.com’, a news portal here today, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that the country should not be pushed towards disaster but towards optimism.
Responding to a question from presenter Bimal Gautam, what could be the reason for the disappointment among the people despite efforts being made for development and prosperity in the country? Prime Minister Oli said, “There is an attempt to defame the country with some people on Facebook and YouTube and those with a blindfolded view arguing that there is public disenchantment. That is not true.” He urged the youth to focus on the country instead of being disappointed and become optimistic that we can build our own country, as the current government is moving forward with the determination to rapidly complete the important development projects.
“There are people who are operating with the mission to create a panic by stating that nothing has happened in this country, there are no workers here, people are going abroad to find work. They remind themselves of have ruled for two hundred and fifty years and not seeing the possibility of coming to power through elections in a democracy, they say that nothing has happened in the country.”
Prime Minister Oli said those who believe in authoritarianism and dictatorship are cursing even when people talk about instilling hope. “They do not hesitate to say that they will boycott the films of artists who talk about optimism and development, he said, “In reality democracy is the best option and optimism is the right path away, which should not be abandoned.”
