Schools’ raise funds for Tarai’s flood-stricken

Bhaktapur : The educational institutes here have extended financial assistance for the flood – stricken of the Tarai districts worst hit by the recent disaster.

The Private and Boarding Schools Organization Nepal (PABSON) fundraised Rs 620,000 as assistance to the victims of flood.

PABSON Bhaktapur Chairman, Sri Krishna KC, said the money will be presented to the government through the PABSON’s Central Committee.

Meanwhile, National PABSON has raised Rs 130,000 for the flood victims, N PABSON Bhaktapur Chairman, GB Khadka shared.

Rs 101,111 collected among the teachers, students and employees of the Everest English School at Miwanche and Rs 30,000 raised in Everest Scout Unit was sent to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, Everest English School Principal Bhakta Rajbhandari said.

The Motherland English School based at Bhatedikur area of Jagati has also extended Rs 50,000 in support, according to School’s Principal Sanjaya Khadka.
