Increasing students’ attraction to community schools

Doti : Students here are increasingly attracted to some community schools of the district of 
late with improvements in educational quality.

There is growing inflow of students to community schools, including Kedareswor Secondary School at Shikhar Municipality-1, Talara Secondary at Adarsha Rural Municipality, Padma Public Muktinarayan Secondary at district headquarters Dilpeswor secondary at Dipayal, Chanteswor Secondary at Zorayal Rural Municipality-1, said local guardians.
Ghanashyam Pathak, a local social activist, said the students are shifting to community schools from the private owing to quality education.
“The quality part of community schools based in Doti has improved which is one of the reasons for increasing number of students enrolment in community schools”, he added.
At a time when there was growing public complaints on poor performance of schools in other district, some community schools based in Doti are attracting students and guardians lately.
Wide classrooms, canteen, toilet, arrangement of drinking water, sports ground, school discipline and extracurricular activities among others are enabling community schools environment in the district.
