Bhaktapur : Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lalbabu Pandit, has said the country was for building a new identity- the identity of peace, harmony and development.
At a programme organised on the 23rd establishment day of Madhyapurthimi municipality here Thursday, Minister Pandit said political harmony, development and collaboration were necessary to make the country economically capable.
“Development of the country is not possible without peace, harmony and unity. All should move ahead together for the development of the country,” he stressed, adding that though tax was essential for the development, it should not be imposed to trouble people.
Saying that there should be unity in development and competition in election, Member of the House of Representatives, Mahesh Basnet, assured that Bhaktapur district would see development and prosperity soon.
Prosperity would be ensured with infrastructures development and guarantee of corruption –free governance, he underscored.
Madhyapurthimi municipality Mayor Madan Sundar Shrestha shared that the municipality had forwarded development activities of in different sectors including drinking water, heritages, shrines and road.
On the occasion, best taxpayer and litterateurs were honoured and 18 senior citizens provided free health insurance.
