Govt. fails to live up to people’s welfare-NC leader Singh

Kathmandu, Aug 25 : Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh has accused the government of not being able to deliver in a way to give a feeling of two-thirds majority to the public.

At a function organized here today to mark the silver jubilee of Jaishidewal Youth Club, he advised the government to speed up development works bearing public concern after framing laws.
He also urged the young generation to do away with mere criticism but to come up with innovations for the improvements of Kathmandu Valley roads and environmental conservation.
Leader Singh lauded the Club for winning people’s hearts through the means of social service.
Also speaking on the occasion, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya appreciated the Club’s special contribution to social reforms.
Likewise, Deputy Mayor Hariprabha Khadgi pledged to intensify the reconstruction of earthquake-devastated historical heritages.
Club Chair Rajesh Prajapati shared that the Club has been working in close network with people on different fronts of public welfare.
On the occasion, leader Singh launched the ‘Silver Jubilee Souvenir’ and inaugurated the newly-constructed building of the Club.
Various personalities providing contributions to the construction of the building were also felicitated on the occasion. (Photo Available) —
