Lahan, Aug 28: Police here have arrested five youths on the charge of raping a woman in Shambhunath Municipality of Saptari district.
A twenty-year-old woman of Khadak Municiplity-5 of Saptari was raped by the five-member gang when she was returning home after attending Rakshabandhan programme at Anarhama on August 26.
According to DSP Bhabesh Rimal at the district police office, the arrested are Bikram Sardar, 20, Krishna Narayan Shah, 26, Manoj Kumar Ram of Shambhu Nath Municipality, and Hira Lal Sah, 24, and Raj Kumar Bhagat of Kanchanpur municipality in the same district.
