6 June, Kathmandu : President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane has urged the party members to move beyond a ‘me-first’ mindset and adopt a ‘We’ approach, contributing to making the party stronger, more cultured, transparent and people-friendly. Taking to his social media account in the context of the RSP District Convention taking place today and tomorrow (June 6-7), he urged the party members to show patience, make sacrifices and remain dedicated to ‘fulfilling mandate given by the time’.
Stating that the Convention is not just a process of electing new leadership, he said it is an opportunity to strengthen the party’s functional procedures, practices and health traditions. “It will determine our future course of action.” Echoing the need for competent, and pro-people leadership with high integrity at each party-level, Lamichhane said that the goal here is to make the RSP an advanced democratic party.
“To achieve this goal, our mindset, style, performances and political culture should also be advanced.” “Now, our goal is to broaden our identity of an alternative force, proving that we are competent and efficient political entity capable of successfully heading the nation,” he said.
