NC panel elected in Nisdhi’s ward no 1 and 7

Rampur (Palpa) : The Nepali Congress panel has won the local level elections held in Nisdhi rural municipality – 1 and 7.

NC candidate Purna Bahadur Khand was elected as the chairman of ward no 1 along with the entire panel. Khand was elected with 668 votes while his closest rival, Tuk Bahadur Soti, from UML garnered 493 votes.

In ward no 7, NC’s Gagan Soti led panel emerged victorious. Soti mustered 675 votes whereas his closest contender from UML, Bhim Bahadur Thapa, garnered 593 votes.

Meanwhile, CPN (UML) led panel has emerged as the winner in Rampur Municipality – 1. UML and the CPN (Maoist Centre) had forged electoral alliance resulting in the election of UML’s ward chair candidate, Mitralal Kandel.

Kandel garnered 785 votes whereas his closest contender, Kapil Bahadur Khand, from NC garnered 626 votes. The vote counting at Rampur Municipalty – 10 is continuing.
